Pleasure & Pain - Pure Pain Naga Paste

Pleasure & Pain - Pure Pain Naga Paste

What the bottle says...
Warning - Extreme Heat
The Naga Bin Jolokia is officially recognised as the hottest chilli in the world, registering nearly 1 million scoville units. Available here in it's purest form this fresh-tasting fiery pepper is a must have ingredient to create the ultimate scorching curry. Enjoy...

What we say...
The key word here is pure - for some reason alot of Naga pastes have added salt or vinegar which is not only unnecessary, it detracts from from what is quite a delicate fruity flavour behind the blistering heat. Made with fresh Indian Naga Bin Jolokia Peppers this little jar of fire is wonderfully versatile, whether you want to add it to favourite food, flavour oil, or even create your own super-hot sauce.

BRILLIANT!!!! Great flavour and nive warm burn. Just tried it neat for the first time (half a teaspoon) and got a good long lasting burn for a good 5 minutes , and the best thing about this paste is that it actually tastes great as well as the heat which is rare! I would recommend this as a must to everyones order and is now a regular on my permanent supplies. Will certainly be stocking up on this great product incase it sells out!..

this is an absolute gem of a product, it adds flavour, heat and just an overall superbness to any dish! but after 5 minutes you know you've eaten it! clearing all the senses uplifting your soul! i will be purchasing a lot more of this great product. Two teaspoons full adds a great heat, three packs a punch, but it's a punch worth treating yourself to! wow. this is a great purchase i would recommend to anyone...

This stuff is what i was after for my curry, the absence of vinegar and salt allows the pure taste of the chilli to come through, giving the curry a lovely taste, while allowing there to be a lot of heat. If you buy this for a curry i would recommend trying my recipe.Throw your meat in cornflour with a bit of pepper and salt,Fry onions in oil,Grind a heaped teaspoon of cumin powder, ground coriander and turmeric into a couple of garlic cloves. Add desired amount of chilli paste to this (i used a heaped teaspoon) and mix. Add this paste to a litre of stock (stock depends on the meat) and mix, finally add a tablespoon of cornflour to the stock mixture.Fry the meat until the flour appears to be cooked off and add some stock, boiling off until all stock is added.Your sauce should now be nice and thick and full of flavour, serve, enjoy, and feel the heat combined beautifully with the curry flavours.I would recommend this paste for a lot of other reasons too, if you are making an order the extra 3.49 is definitely worth it..

WOW. This stuff is lethal. Ive read other reviews, and forget about 2 teaspoons in a curry if you're a TRUE chilli head - I put 2 teaspoons in my one serving, whacked it in the microwave and gave it a good stir - NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED - I was leaking out of every orifice my face has to offer, and it literally took me 15-20 mins to come down from the "high" that ensues the munching of anything that contains this paste. Very, Very hot...but if you can handle your chilli, be generous with it because its not gunpowder as some on here would have you believe. Having said that, 2 tsps in my serving has just caused me to have the hottest curry I have ever had - and I am a 28yr old Indian fella who's grown up on chillis. NAGA PASTE, I SALUTE YOU!!!!!..

There are a lot of good hot pepper products on the market. Personally I very much prefer unadulterated pepper products (no additives like vinegar, salt and or other spices). This pure naga is by far the best product I have ever found or used. Its heat is searing, the flavour is perfect and the products looks very \"sound\" (read high quality). My friends and I use large quantities of this product. We ordered almost 40 jars in total last year. With a high quality pure product like this, one can make any sauce or chutney oneselve. Because let\'s be frank, flavour and taste is very personal, the only way of making it right, is to mix it yourself. I have tried a different brand of pure naga, claiming a million plus on the scoville scale. Scorchio\'s PURE NAGA has been estimated to be several times hotter than the other (watery looking) product (which name I shall not mention) by myself and several of my friends. On the top, one can only go downhill? Let\'s hope Scorchio manages to keep the quality (and heat) at this insane high level. How I rate this product? In one word SUPERB! Keep up the good work scorchio! Service was also great, delivery to the Netherlands took only two or three days.BE VERY CAREFULL THOUGH, START WITH VERY SMALL QUANTITIES, EVEN IF YOU ARE A GENUINE PEPPER HEAD! Don\'t act tough or use this product as a practical joke, this will cause extreme stomach aching and enduring pain in case of misuse!!..

This is easily the best naga/jolokia paste on the market, trust me as i've tried them all!Seering heat, and unless your hardcore i wouldn't try this, doubt it could be any hotter for naga's, very strong fruity smell & taste of naga's, and a very intense red colour. They are obviously using very high quality naga's here.I bought 8 (blame me) after buying a jar previously and realising how good this is.Message to scorchio: Don't let the quality of the naga's drop as it's key to the quality here, and get more stock regularly! I buy lot's of sauces from around the world, this product and the hard to get (postage) non extract super hot sauces from Australia are the best you can get...

Sweet Moses this stuff is hot!Tried it neat, but only a quantity akin to a midgie's nadger, and the burn was so fierce and quite long lasting. Its only a little jar, but I'm sure it'll go a very long way.Rather glad I kept checking to see if it was back in stock. Buy it now, Buy it now, Buy it now!..

HOT BEYOND BELIEF.I bought a jar. Beats the crud out of the dried Nagas. 1/4 of a teaspoon is enough to heat up an entire jerk chicken or vindaloo to blistering heat. I made a bet with a mate, who is a massive chilli junkie, that he couldn't eat 1tsp. Now he can take heat, putting 6 tablespoons of Insanity Sauce into a bolongase, eating 20 chillis in one go as a casual snack. Anyway with a bitter facial expression he got it down himself, then had a bottle of milk and eight bottles of water to cool it. Then for the next 30 minutes he threw up, then said he was the illest he's ever felt in his life.SERIOUS HEAT, NOT TO BE MESSED WITH...
