100% Pain Hot Sauce

100% Pain Hot Sauce

What the bottle says...
100% Natural.
Rated 100%.
There are several levels of pain. The pain levels are marked with the % of pain you experience. The higher the % the more pain and less flavor. Although there are chileheads that will argue that the more the pain the better the flavor. We will let you decide. Taste the pain.

What we say...
Yes we know - we don't understand what the blurb on the back of the bottle is all about either, clearly the writer was on some kind of Habanero high at the time. However this is one seriously hot natural sauce. Packed with Habanero's which means this also has a great roasted pepper taste, which if you like it hot will go great in a steak sandwich or on a barbecued sausage.

I must agree with some of the reviews here: I tried this sauce as well and found it tasted overly artificial and unpleasant. The burn was very strong indeed, but it's not worth much if it's not accompanied by an enjoyable taste, which this sauce is sorely lacking unfortunately...

I disagree with the assertion that this tastes chemically, it tastes bold and habanero-y, a taste that warms at the inception and then spreads it Scoville-thrashing tendrils into the depths and crevices of your mouth. The 'Pain' moniker is a deserved title as my first sensation of other bodily effects was on urination some four hours later (which stung more than any venereal disease could). I, too, had the gut-gurgling effects, as aforementioned but this is is explained by of a number of things: sensitive gastro-intestinal tract; becoming accommodated to the spiciness; what else has been consumed during the day. I recommend the sauce as tasty and fiery...

I don't with some of the comments about the flavour, personally I think it's one of the few 'super hot' sauces that doesn't have the slight bitter taste that you so often get with extract based sauces. This may be becasue it isn't quite as hot as some of Daves or Blairs stuff, but it its textures great with chucks of habanero (and even the odd seed!) and proper habanero chili taste. My only comment is it is a very strong flavour so perhaps eating by the teaspoon is not such a good idea, but I just add it to stuff like curries, chillies and soups and it really does the trick...

I completely agree with David Yelland's review. I only tried it once - I went through a phase of spreading chilli sauce in-between cheese-on-toast - the taste was not enjoyable and I felt sick afterwards. I find that most really hot sauces have little or no flavour (even Dragonsblood). A sauce like Acid Rain really hit the mark, heat and great flavour. Unfortunately, I found 100% Pain to be the opposite...

This is a great chilli sauce. Not super hot and with a real vinegarie taste, which makes it great poured over chip shop chips!!..

I am seriously disappointed with this sauce. I was looking forward to trying it but when I did I regretted it. I can't really explain it (how do you describe a taste?), I know it is an all natural sauce but if I had tried it blindfolded I would have thought it was a cheap sauce filled with chemicals and artificial flavourings. It has a really strong, overwhelming taste of nothing I can describe, but it isn't nice. I had a stomach ache after trying it... I even went back a couple more times later on to re-test it but it was the same each time. It's not the heat that is the problem. I have Dave's and Blair's sauces here that I love. It just doesn't taste nice. It is also a shame because the heat in this IS good. If you can stand the taste and stomach ache the burn is great. I know it says that the higher the % the less the taste... That I could handle. No taste would be OK. It's just unfortunate that this sauce has lots of taste. THE WRONG KIND!..

Tried this at the Brighton fiery food festival last year and although it is certainly hot (but by no means top draw) the flavour is at best average! Saying that, I think it is great value for money but if your a hardcore chillihead then stick to Blair's or special ed mad dog 357...

This is seriously hot but also seriously tasty. Add to a chilli con carne for a great taste. Too much of this stuff will make you sweat off parts of your anatomy. Will be back for more when I run out...

I finally tried this stuff last night with pizza & wings. Not getting any bite out the 'suicide' wings we ordered I told my friend to bring out the heavies to get a little kick going. Only a very modest dip and I started to laugh hysterically as the Habanero ripped into my pallete. Anyone who can handle more than a drop of this stuff is not human. Try it for kicks or give it to someone you really hate. The label is 100% accurate, I can tell you that...

I got a bottle of this for crimbo and it is amazing. The head rush you get as it kicks in right away is out of this world and the tears of happiness that roll down your cheeks (both sets) as you endure all that this bottle has to offer is unrivalledI made quite a few Diablo's filled with cheese and ham with this bad boy in it and they went down a treat. I also cannot recommend highly enough that you put a good few dollops of this in a Bombay badboy Pot noodle. For health reasons (and bathroom sake) I have now passed this bottle on to another person who claims to be a big chilli head.Sometimes it's nest to not find the grail...
