What we say... We've long been a fan of Melinda's Sauces. Although the label looks, how shall we put it?, a little retro, the sauce inside is bang up to date with freshness and flavour to rival the big boys with their fancy label designs. It's a fine line balancing heat with flavour and Melinda is the queen of getting it just right. Her range of Habanero sauces, each with a different and distinct flavour working in partnership with the Habanero pepper, make excellent store cupboard staples and will add variety and colour to a whole range of dishes.
Garlic and Habanero are natural bed-fellows and are often paired in sauces. But they are two strong flavours that you can sometimes find wrestling it out for supremacy in the bottle. Not so with this versatile delight from Melinda's. Again, she gets it bang on with her balancing and you have yourself a very wholesome bottle of garlic chilli sauce that has no end of great uses. Good for Thai-inspired cooking but equally at home splashed into a classic Italian tomato sauce to be stirred into penne. We love it to add richness to a tomato or vegetable soup - use it instead of a stock cube.
