Our family in Jamaica have been blending home-made jerk/barbecue sauce since way back and for years it's been the taste of London's Notting Hill Carnival.

It's still a secret entrusted to me by my grandmother but now the treasure has been bottled so I can share Reggae, Reggae sauce with you all.

You can use it as a marinade for flavoursome jerk/BBQ chicken or with other meat/vegetables... or try a generous splash on the side of almost anything... or when cooking to give your dishes a hint of warm Jamaican sunshine.

What we say...
The man made famous by BBC's Dragon's Den, has brought Jamaican flavours to the UK's attention. However, don't be put off by Levi's celebratory status and slightly cheesy strapline, his sauces are based on family recipes going back 35 years. This is the sauce that started it all, packed full of traditional Jamaican flavours such as nutmeg and cinnamon, along with a nice gentle heat. A must for the BBQ season.

Check this sauce out,a gorgeous deep warming flavour,best sauce i`ve ever tasted,although i add extra heat with two drops of daves insanity and two drops of mad dog 357,it leaves you with a very tasty yet very hot sauce,PROPER BO I TELL THEE

Up there with the Loveapple sauce, another staple in our kitchen. I love jerk but some marinades are too hot and harsh to use as a sauce and other 'sauce' type jerk blends too bland and mild. This hits is spot on - the flavour of jerk but rounded and with a slight barbeque sweetness that makes it a winner on wedgies and a must have on ribs. use as a marinade or a dipping sauce. Gets your taste buds dancing without you having to peel your skull off the ceiling.

This sauce really is good and makes a excellent and tasty quick sauce to accompany chicken/pork especially on a BBQ. It has a slight sourness to it though, that could almost be comparable to lemon you should note. But this could easily be changed with a little sugar. This really does bring out a lovely smokey taste out of meats, and goes great as a dipping sauce too! Please note though that this stuff is VERY runny, so pour slowly!!!
