Busha Brownes Pukka Hot Pepper Sauce
What the bottle says... Made from fragrant fresh Jamaican Scotch Bonnet Peppers, this sauce gives that extra spicy fillip to steak, chicken, fish and soup dishes. But be warned, it is very hot and not for the fainthearted.
In the 19th century, Jamaican Bushas would celebrate their prowess in the saddleby lavish entertaining where they would vie with one another to see whose cook could serve the hottest dishes.
Busha Browne's Authentic (Pukka) Hot Pepper Sauce was originally used as a table sauce and in the preperation of traditional 'hot' dishes. Today, Pukka Pepper Sauce also has a special application in Creole and Cajun cooking.
What we say... A great piquant caribbean sauce bursting with Scotch Bonnet flavour and heat. In our humble opinion this makes a great table sauce - it's hot, but not that hot - we love it on good old fish and chips.
